Written by: Jim Quinn Directed by: Kim Vernall How do we pick the person we will fall in love with? "Well... I Guess I’m Back” examines the lives of JIM and NANCY, who are meeting again after twenty-something years of being married to other people to examine “why” they never “made it” as a couple!
With maturity on their side, they both are capable of seeing their youthful faults. Spending one reckless afternoon, together, they admit their mistakes to each other and resolve to finally be together… However, an unexpected event changes everything, and re-affirms the decision one of them made many years ago.

Ol' Cap'n is holding the inheritance due to a long-lost cousin. Purlie has searched the country for a look-alike that would fool the Ol' Cap'n. When the girl, Lutiebelle, realizes the danger in the plan she tries to run away; it's her love of Purlie, not money or any church, that brought her here.
